NOW! Building

In the NOW! building on Park 20|20, there are two M-Use® elevators.

The first multi-tenant building at the 20|20 business park is the NOW Building in Hoofddorp.

At Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp, you will find the exceptional NOW Building. This building was developed according to the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) method, just like all the other buildings. This means that the building is designed for dismantling; an approach that is also called design for disassembly. The building, located on Taurusavenue, was designed for companies that prioritise the enjoyment of work. It is part of an effort to boost creativity and innovation via the workplace.

Stylish and sustainable is still a successful combination
When we visited the site last month and were welcomed by Macaw, one thing stood out. The huge amount of daylight that penetrates the top floors. A large glass ceiling will be a huge benefit in terms of the creativity of the personnel. The green interior also offers a warm, homely feeling which is clearly what Macaw is trying to achieve. The top floor has various spaces with a cosy layout so that everyone feels comfortable while working.

But a sustainable building needs a sustainable elevator
In a sustainable building, you could take the stairs… or use the M-Use® elevator. NOW Building was one of the de first offices where we installed our sustainable elevator.

Other sustainable applications in the NOW Building:

  • The heat and cold storage
  • Green roof and green façadeDesign for Disassembly
  • The site incorporates solar and noise resistant HR++ glass
  • LED lighting
  • Water is reused by a grey water system
  • Electricity is largely obtained from solar panels at Schiphol
  • Why a green roof and façades?
  • A green roof and green façade ensure that the carbon emissions that are generated by the nearby cars and buses nearby are absorbed. There is even a bee hotel on the roof.

The BREAAM Score result says it all; the building achieved a score of 71.24%
